As The Steel Wheels embark on 2010 Touring, it’s clear they are desperately in need of a new band vehicle. What the vehicle is and where it will come from is still in process. If you’d like to be a part of keeping the Steel Wheels on the road, please go to the link below and donate securely whatever you please. We appreciate the support and love.

Red Wing Review

Cover Lay Down Article

Here is early reaction to the new album from bloggers at Cover Lay Down…

The Steel Wheels are certainly going places, with apt comparison to Old Crow Medicine Show, Gillian Welch, and other new primitives on the line between old timey folk and something raw, new, and bluegrassy.

Bike Tour

Spokesongs Tour a Success

In September 2009, Jay and I set off on an experiment we called the Spokesongs Tour. We biked our instruments, some mics, some cds, and ourselves through the mountains of Virginia for 7 days. You, our fans, were kind enough to cheer us on through facebook, phone calls, and most importantly at the shows! Thank you thank you thank you. We also had some serious help from our sponsors: Tree Fort Bikes in Ann Arbor, MI and as always from Fretwell Bass and Acoustic Instruments. Here is the full video of the tour by Joel Landis. We hope you enjoy it.
