2012 Festival Schedule

There are few things that musicians and fans love more than a well run music festival. It’s gives everyone a chance to meet amazing people and see a variety of styles all in one place. As a touring musician you would think that we get a chance to hang out and watch other bands play all the time but unfortunately, that is hardly ever the case. You get to see other posters hanging up in the same venues as we play and we all know each others names from the circuit but rarely get a chance to be in the same place at the same time. That is just one of the many reasons we love to play as many festivals as possible! It also usually means that warm weather is here!

We are very excited about the 2012 lineup of festivals we have on our schedule and there are still more pending. We would love to see all of you out at one (or more) of these! If you have never been to a music festival you’ll get hooked! Here is where we are playing so far:

What are these two smiling about? It must be The Steel Wheels’ Holiday Special. That’s one Steel Wheels mug, one t-shirt, and one CD of your choice, all for $50! Also, if you hadn’t noticed, this is a brand new T-shirt design! And it looks great on everyone, even you.

Bicycle Times, New Album (Uncloudy Day), The Road

Greetings from the great Mid-West!…. We just finished up a fantastic tour with shows in North Carolina (Ocracoke Island), Kentucky, Missouri, and Kansas. Thanks to all our new friends and fans that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting or at least seeing bopping heads in the audience!

Bicycle Times - Issue #6
Featuring The Steel Wheel Duo
We had an amazing weekend in Salina, Ks at the Smokey Hill River Festival and all the performers and visual artists were top notch! We played five sets over the three days that we were there and missed not a one due to any of the perilous weather conditions. All I can say is that the people of Kansas are fantastic and Salina puts on one masterpiece of a festival….

The Steel Wheel Duo gets covered in “Bicycle Times” Issue #6. We are proud to let you know that we got a great feature article in the newest issue of Bicycle Times! The story covers our first SpokeSongs Bicycle Music Tour in late Fall of 2009 and has some sweet pics as well. The magazine is available at a number of stores including Barnes and Noble and also online HERE.
