Greetings from the great Mid-West!…. We just finished up a fantastic tour with shows in North Carolina (Ocracoke Island), Kentucky, Missouri, and Kansas. Thanks to all our new friends and fans that we’ve had the pleasure of meeting or at least seeing bopping heads in the audience!

We had an amazing weekend in Salina, Ks at the Smokey Hill River Festival and all the performers and visual artists were top notch! We played five sets over the three days that we were there and missed not a one due to any of the perilous weather conditions. All I can say is that the people of Kansas are fantastic and Salina puts on one masterpiece of a festival….

The Steel Wheel Duo gets covered in “Bicycle Times” Issue #6. We are proud to let you know that we got a great feature article in the newest issue of Bicycle Times! The story covers our first SpokeSongs Bicycle Music Tour in late Fall of 2009 and has some sweet pics as well. Trent Wagler & Jay Lapp release a new recording, Uncloudy Day, on May 5th to correspond with their SpokeSongs Tour through Michigan. The recording was done around one microphone and includes favorite and influential traditional songs that Trent and Jay have collected throughout the years. Stamped with Steel Wheel style, the songs play as a late night slow jam and celebrate traditional songs as they embark on this Spring’s tour on traditional transportation.
